Niacin (Vitamin B3)
Niacin, also known as Vitamin B3, is found in many foods in our diets, such as red meat, fish, brown rice, buts, seeds, and bananas. B vitamins are thought to increase energy, but Niacin’s claim to fame is that it works as a “coenzyme”, meaning that it’s needed to make other enzymes and amino acids work properly in the body. Niacin is important, and not getting enough of it may play a role in depression, headaches, and fatigue.
